HOW DO TRAVEL ADVISORS GET PAID? WILL I BE CHARGED EXTRA OR WILL MY ACCOMMODATIONS HAVE AN EXTRA FEE? We are paid by resorts, cruise lines, hotels, and car rentals companies. We are also paid by Amtrak vacations, for international flights. Many resorts have price parity, the cost is the same whether you book through me, or direct with the resort or with an online booking engine. The difference between using a travel agent is that I can help you plan a stress free vacation without the hassle of doing it alone.
WHY SHOULD I BOOK WITH YOU, INSTEAD OF AN ONLINE BOOKING SITE OR DIRECT WITH A RESORT? Booking travel with me, I will provide you exceptional personal assistance before, during, and after your vacation. Budget is important and I strive to give my clients their dream vacation within the budget they set for it. There's no pressure to go above and beyond what you're comfortable with. You can't enjoy your vacation when you're stressed out about paying for it. You will also benefit from our extensive personal connections with suppliers. If any problems arise on your trip, you can reach out to me. You won't get that from a travel site.
WILL I PAY MORE FOR MY VACATION IF I BOOK THROUGH YOU INSTEAD OF AN ONLINE BOOKING SITE? No. Typically, I have the same access to all the same pricing for resorts as the online booking sites do and we can price match online booking engine pricing.
WHAT INFORMATION SHOULD I HAVE BEFORE CONTACTING FOR A QUOTE? Ideally you should set a budget, know what destination you would like to travel to, and the approximate dates that you would like to travel. When you are ready to proceed, complete and submit the Quote Form. You will be provided with a quote with the option to make two changes for free.
DO I HAVE TO PAY YOU UP FRONT FOR MY VACATION? DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS? No. The deposit requirements are set by the resorts and the tour operators I book through. Deposit rates vary based on the resort, packages you select and the time you are traveling. Most available packages require that you pay the balance 45 days prior to your arrival. The payment is made directly to the supplier.
DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE? Travel Insurance is available and HIGHLY recommended to protect your travel investment. Many trips, such as tours and cruises, involve nonrefundable funds paid months in advance. Travel insurance protects you from losing this investment. Perhaps even more important is the travel coverage and assistance that comes with the travel insurance. Trip interruption due to illness or unforeseen circumstances can be very expensive, and medical care abroad is often not covered by domestic insurance plans. Also, an increasing number of countries require proof of medical insurance for travelers entering their country.
